About Leveller 4.4
What's new?
- 3D objects can be placed and moved. Autodesk FBX and DXF formats supported, and Collada DAE and Alias OBJ.
- Freehand vector path tool added.
- Ongoing fixes and improvements.
You may first need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 redistributable package. Once installed, the redistributable can be kept up-to-date via Windows Update.
Should I upgrade to Leveller 4.4 from 4.3?
It depends on how old your version of 4.3 is; you may miss out on fixes and changes made between November 2023 and now.
To see the particular fixes and changes you would get, compare your purchase date (or your last upgrade date) to the dates in the Change Log. If your version of Leveller is more recent than September 10, 2024, you can use its "Help, Check for Updates" command.
Upgrades from previous 4.x versions are free; please contact us to obtain.
Can I upgrade to the last version of Leveller 4.3?
No, sorry. For simplicity, we only maintain the latest version.
If I upgrade, can I run Leveller 4.4 alongside my current version?
Yes, Leveller 4.4 uses its own installation and user data directories. The document format is also the same as in Leveller 4.3, so documents can be safely roundtripped (unless the document stores 3D objects, in which case you should upgrade to the most recent version of Leveller 4.4).
If saved documents contain neither 3D objects nor golf hole routings, then they can be opened with Leveller 4.2.
